Which cultural heritage in Jordan deserves to be better known? Which women archaeologist or conservator is missing from Wikipedia?
Whether it's an archaeological site or a famous poet, information about Jordanian heritage can be difficult to find online. Join us at our second edit-a-thon as we increase the visibility of our heritage on open source projects such as Wikipedia, Wikimedia Commons, and Wikidata.
The aim of this event is to produce and edit a splash of Wikipedia articles in Arabic and English using the ACOR Library as a starting point. And the aim for 2020 is to add 20,000 words to the encyclopaedia. We'll be providing a list of articles that need to be created or worked on, continuing from the last edit-a-thon.
Beginners will get training on the spot! Training will be on Wikipedia's Visual Editor, a user-friendly editor that does not require any coding! Please bring your own laptop if you can.
